Stranger
Screening of the film “Stranger” (112 min) followed by a panel discussion.
For the first time ever, Denmark has its own feature-length film about the Stone Age. The film was released in cinemas in March 2025 and tells the story of when the first farmers arrived in Denmark.
After the screening, a panel with the film's screenwriter Jesper Fink, archaeologists Mikkel Nørtoft (University of Copenhagen/Saxo) and Solveig Chaudesaigues-Clausen (Museum Vestsjælland), who served as academic consultants, as well as historical linguist Tobias Mosbæk Søborg (University of Copenhagen/NorS), who constructed the two Stone Age languages featured in the film, will talk about the making of the movie and their respective contributions. The panel will also take questions from the audience.
The film has English subtitles. The Q&A session will be in Danish/English.
The event is free of charge, but please register.
